Linarc lets you review and compare multiple markups directly on the plan sheet, supporting collaboration across teams and helping you identify discrepancies with clarity. You can access markups created by you, shared by other stakeholders, or attached to items such as RFIs, Submittals, Punch Lists, T&M work, and more—all from a single, consolidated view. You can:

  • Compare changes across teams without switching between individual markups.

  • Identify overlaps, missing details, and inconsistencies across markups.

  • Access multiple markups from one location.

  • Combine selected markups with your own to create a consolidated version.

Jump to the respective sections using the links below:

View markup

  • Click on the thumbnail to open a plan sheet

The plan sheet opens with the recently added markup with its tag at the top bar:

View Multiple markups

You can see multiple markups, both your own markups and those shared with you by other stakeholders at once. This includes markups added by different contractors and from various modules, attached to items like RFIs, Submittals, Punchlists, and more.

  • Click the button on the top left of the sheet

Select the required markups to see in a single view from the pop-up menu:

  • Search markups: Use the 'Search' field at the top to quickly find a specific markup
  • Selected markups: Lists any markups you’ve chosen
  • Trade Type: Select the trade type associated with the stakeholder whose markup you want to open
  • Document Type: Select the document type through which the markup is made, like Plans, RFIs, Submittals, Punchlists, and more.
  • If you select a document type that contains multiple objects (e.g., RFIs, Submittals, or Punchlists), choose the specific item, for example, the RFI name, and then use the checkboxes to select the markups associated with that item.
  • Repeat the process to select more markup
  • Click 'Add'

The selected markups are displayed together on the same sheet, with their names displayed as tags in the top bar each, assigned a unique color for easy identification. Every markup element also carries its color, showing which markup it belongs to.

Locate Markup Elements

You can find and highlight specific markup elements on the plan by selecting them from the Layer Editor for easy reference and action.

  • Click  on the left to view the layer elements of the markup. The Layer Editor displays all elements from the selected markups in an expandable, collapsible tree structure for organized viewing.

  • Click the element label in the Layer Editor to instantly highlight the markup on the plan sheet, along with its associated measurements.

Edit Markups

  • Click theicon on the tag of the markup you want to make any changes to
  • Open the layer editor and use the trashcan icon to remove unwanted markup elements
  • Use the element locator on the layer editor, as mentioned above, to locate the elements you want to edit. You can also add new elements if necessary.
  • Use the handles to resize or rotate the shape markups
  • Click and drag to relocate
  • Click the save button once you make all the changes.

You can only edit the markups created by you and not those created by others and shared with you. See the following links to learn more.
