Project managers with appropriate permissions can upload plan drawing sets, like floor plans, site plans, elevation drawings, landscape plans, etc., to the project as PDF files. Linarc resolves the files, creates individual sheets organized with sheet numbers and titles, and shows them in the 'Plan Sheets' interface. The plans are shared among all project managers and other staff from the general contractor, architects, and subcontractors on their respective web consoles and the mobile app.
Plan Sheet Numbers and Sheet Names: Once a plan set PDF file is uploaded, Linarc parses the file into individual sheets. It employs optical character recognition (OCR) to read and identify sheet numbers and names, automatically labeling the sheets accordingly. The system is continuously updated and trained to accurately read these values, even if they aren't marked in a standard format or location. In rare cases where the system cannot fetch these values due to non-standard formatting, users can leverage the integrated artificial intelligence (AI) feature. This AI uses sophisticated algorithms to accurately determine and input the sheet numbers and names, ensuring efficient and automated organization of the sheets.
The plan drawings are also available to all team members and project managers for attachment to change orders, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, punch lists, etc.
Linarc also supports version control. You can upload any number of new plans or revised versions of the existing plans to the project throughout its lifecycle. Your colleagues will see the latest version by default. However, if required, they can also view the previous versions of the plans.
