Responsible team members, typically project managers from the general contractor and the design teams with the required permissions, can upload plan drawing sets—such as floor plans, site plans, elevation drawings, and landscape plans—in PDF or image file formats to the project. Linarc automatically processes the files, extracts individual sheets, and organizes them for access and sharing.
- Organized viewing: Sheets are neatly organized for quick navigation.
- Controlled sharing: Grant access to selected team members, stakeholders, and collaborating companies.
- Cross-platform access: Shared plan sheets are available on both the web console and the mobile app for seamless field and office coordination.
The plan drawings are also available to all team members and project managers to whom they are shared, for attachment to change orders, requests for information (RFIs), submittals, punch lists, etc.
Linarc also supports version control. You can upload any number of new plans or revised versions of the existing plans to the project throughout its lifecycle. Your colleagues will see the latest version by default. However, if required, they can also view the previous versions of the plans.
Plan Sheet Details
Linarc’s advanced AI automatically scans each plan drawing to extract key details—saving time and eliminating the need for manual entry. It even reads the drawing’s scale and auto-calibrates measurement tools for accurate markups and takeoffs.
- Extracts sheet number, sheet name, date, discipline, and more—even when formats vary or information isn’t in standard locations
- Automatically detects and applies the drawing scale for instant measurement accuracy
- Presents a draft list of uploaded sheets with all extracted details for quick review and verification
- Allows easy editing of any missing or unclear details before publishing the plan sheets

- Once complete, click the 'Proceed' button for the AI to start processing the file and scanning the individual sheets.
Linarc uses intelligent algorithms to parse the files into individual sheets, identify the values like the sheet number, sheet name, date, discipline, etc, and shows them as a list.

- Sheet Number - The sheet number as identified from the sheet
- Sheet name - The sheet name as read from the sheet
- Sheet date- The date of creation or publication, specified on the sheet
- Discipline - The trade or division of work the plan sheet pertains to.

- Open the plan sheet by clicking its thumbnail.
- Double-click any cell to edit its contents.
- For 'Discipline,' select the appropriate option from the drop-down list.
- For 'Date,' choose the date from the calendar that appears when you click the cell.
You can also duplicate values using standard copy-paste actions.
- Use the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy and paste cell contents.
- To paste a value into multiple cells simultaneously, hold Ctrl or Shift to select multiple cells, then paste. This is especially useful when filling similar values across consecutive entries and adjusting them as needed.
- Click 'Upload' and repeat the process to add more sheets to the set.
Tip: The uploaded sheets are saved as a draft plan set. You can pause the process if you want to add more sheets or edit the details at a later time before publishing. See View and manage draft plan sets for guidance on this.
- Once you are done, click
at the top to save the sheets to the project

- Click 'Publish' in the confirmation dialog
The plan sheets screen shows the added plans.

By default, all sheets in the uploaded set are visible only to you, as the access level is set to Private.
To share these plan sheets with stakeholders or construction team members, you must update the access settings for the entire set.
For step-by-step guidance, refer to Share plan sets.
