Create Schedule Status Line

Modified on Wed, 16 Jul at 12:48 AM

Linarc’s Scheduler allows you to place status line markers on key dates to capture snapshots of your project’s schedule. On each marked day, the system records both the planned and actual progress of every task, enabling accurate comparisons and insightful analysis over time.

These status lines appear directly on the Gantt view, providing a clear visual reference for tracking progress at specific dates. You can quickly assess planned vs. completed percentages for each task at a glance. Each status line marker can be customized with a unique color and stroke width, making it easy to distinguish between different checkpoints on your project timeline.

  • Add status line markers from any scheduler screen. The markers are visible in Gantt view and the Grid & Gantt view

  • Add only one status line per day, but you can delete and recreate it multiple times, within the day

  • Customize status line markers with colors and update them later if needed

To create a status line

  • Ensure that you are in the grid, grid&gantt view or gantt view of the 'Schedule' module. If not,
    • Ensure that you are on the management console of the project
    • Click the app launcher icon in the top-right and select 'Schedule'
    • Open the schedule in 'Grid' or 'Gantt' view by selecting the respective option on the left
  • Click the  icon on the top

The 'Create Status Line' pop-up opens:

Enter the following details:

  • Date - Automatically set to the current date; the status line can only be created for the current day.

  • Width - Choose the stroke width for the status line (between 3 and 10 units). The line appears as a vertical line in the Gantt chart.

  • Color - Choose a color for the status line.
    • Click the color dot at the left in the row of the line item to open the color picker.

There are two ways in which you can specify color code:

  1. Color picker
    • Drag the slider in the color spectrum bar to select the hue
    • Drag the circle in the color field to select the shade
    • Drag the slider in the opacity bar to set the color transparency level
    • The color coordinates of the chosen color is auto-populated in the text box at the bottom
  2. Color coordinates
    • Click the arrows at the bottom right repeatedly to switch between  HEX, RGBA, and HSLA input modes
    • Enter the HEX, RGBA, or HSLA value of the color you want to assign to the item
  • Click the 'Create' button

The status line is recorded. You can view the line and the status of the tasks on the day from the Gantt view. See View and Compare Schedule Status to learn more.
