The Master Project Change Order Details screen provides a comprehensive, centralized view of all change orders (COs) across your projects. It consolidates key data from COs of various statuses, offering insights into their overall impact on the project. The report also includes direct shortcuts to individual COs for quick access, review, and action.
- General Contractors - Have full visibility into all COs within their subprojects, pertaining to the master projects they manage, ensuring complete oversight and efficient management.
- Subcontractors and Other Stakeholders - Can access COs where they are directly involved, pertaining to the subprojects of the selected master project.
Roles and Permissions: The Master Project Portfolio report is available only to users with 'View' permission for the portfolio reports enabled in their role.
To view the change orders across all your subprojects
- Ensure that you are in the portfolio console.
- To return to the portfolio console from any other part of the platform:
- Click the App Launcher button
in the top-right corner and select "Portfolio" from the dropdown.
- Click the App Launcher button
- Click 'Master Project' at the top, then select 'Finance' on the left
- Select the desired master project from the drop-down menu
- Click the 'Change Order Details' tab on the top
The 'Default View' shows all the standard columns. However, you have the flexibility to customize the table by removing unwanted columns and re-arranging the columns in the order you want to view. Additionally, you can save your customizations as a personalized view to quickly access your preferred table layout in the future. See Customize Columns in List Views for more details. Following is the list of all possible columns:
- CO No. – The serial number assigned to the change order.
- Title – The subject of the CO. Click the title to open the details.
- Trade Type – The contractors involved in executing the change work.
- Project Name - The name of the subproject. Click the name to open the 'Change Order' module of the respective project. See View Change Orders for more details.
- Priority– The criticality level of the CO, indicated by color codes:
- Red – High priority.
- Orange – Medium priority.
- Blue – Low priority.
- CO Subtype – A sub-classification of the CO based on its type.
- Due By– The deadline for closing the CO. A color-coded background highlights urgency:
- Yellow – Due within this week.
- Red – Overdue (past the deadline).
- Specification Code – The relevant section in the project specification book related to the tasks and deliverables of the CO.
- Status– The current progress of the CO within its workflow, with possible statuses:
- Draft – Created but not yet processed.
- CO Accepted – Work cost estimates from subcontractors have been accepted by the general contractor (GC), but the final cost is still pending.
- Owner Rejected – The owner/developer declined the CO after the GC finalized the cost.
- Routed to Owner – The GC has determined the final cost, and the CO is awaiting approval from the owner/developer.
- Waiting for Bids – The GC has issued the CO, but assigned subcontractors have yet to submit cost estimates.
- Contract Type – Indicates whether the CO is tied to a contract or a commitment.
- Created On – The date the CO was generated.
- Created By – The contractor company that generated the CO.
Search and filter options:
- Use the 'Search' box located at the top left to find any change order of any project using any value from the table as search criteria
- Right-click the column header and customize the display and order of the columns as you wish
- The options at the top right allow you to filter the entries, create nested groups of entries, and manage personalized and customized views of the table. Use the links below to learn more about these:
Download as Excel Sheet
- Click the
button at the top right to save a local copy of the list in Excel format for sharing and record-keeping.
- By default, the filename is set to the current date, but you can customize it by entering a preferred name in the text box.
- Click 'Direct Download' to save the file on your device.
