View Change Order Statistics of a Master Project

The Master Project Change Order Report provides a statistical summary of change orders across the subprojects of the selected master project you manage. It categorizes change orders by status and criticality, offering a clear, structured view. The report also includes direct shortcuts to each project's Change Order module for quick access.

  • General Contractors – Have access to the statistics of all change orders across all subprojects pertaining to the master projects they manage, providing a comprehensive overview of project change orders.
  • Subcontractors and Other Stakeholders – Can view statistics only for change orders that they are involved in, pertaining to the subprojects within the selected master project.


Roles and Permissions: The Master project portfolio report is available only to users with 'View' permission for the portfolio reports enabled in their role.


To view the master project change order report

  • Ensure that you are in the portfolio console.
  • To return to the portfolio console from any other part of the platform:
    • Click the App Launcher buttonin the top-right corner and select "Portfolio" from the dropdown.
  • Click 'Master project' on the top and 'Finance' on the left
  • Select the desired master project from the drop-down menu

The 'Default View' shows all the standard columns. However, you have the flexibility to customize the table by removing unwanted columns and rearranging the columns in the order you want to view. Additionally, you can save your customizations as a personalized view to quickly access your preferred table layout in the future. See Customize Columns in List Views for more details. Following is the list of all possible columns:

  • Project - The name of the subproject. Click the name to open the 'Change Order' module of the respective project. See View Change Orders for more details.
  • Total Change Order Items - The grand total number of change orders pertaining to the project 
  • Overdue - The number of change orders that are yet to be closed, but their due dates have passed
  • Status- Shows the breakdown of change orders based on their current statuses:
    • Open- The change orders that are created by you but have yet to be processed 
    • Waiting for Bids -  The change orders that are forwarded to the subcontractors and awaiting their cost estimates
    • Process Bids - The change orders whose cost estimates are awaiting processing by the GC 
    • Closed Bids - The change orders whose cost estimates are processed, accepted, and approved by the GC 
    • Routed to Owner - The change orders that are reviewed by the general contractor and are awaiting approval from the owner 
    • Accepted - The change orders for which the subcontractors' work cost estimates have been processed and accepted by the GC, but are yet to be finalized 
    • Owner Rejected - The change orders that are declined by the owner after the final cost is arrived
    • Rejected - The change orders that are declined by the general contractor.
  • Priority - Shows the number of submittals with different criticality levels - 'High,' 'Medium,' and 'Low.'
  • Change Order Type - Indicates whether the item is a contract change order or a commitment change order
Search and filter options:
  • Use the 'Search' box located at the top left to find any project using any value from the table as search criteria 
  • Right-click the column header and customize the display and order of the columns as you wish 
  • The options at the top right allow you to filter the entries, and manage personalized and customized views of the table. Use the links below to learn more about these:

View Groups and Subtotals

  • You can get totals and subtotals of numerical data for any selected set of records by grouping and applying nested grouping. Use the  icon at the top right to organize the data by column headers.
  • The system automatically aggregates relevant numerical values, giving a structured breakdown and a clear view of the grand total distribution. See Group and Organize Items in a List View for more details
