You can add any number of sub-projects to a master at any time and assign them to the company deemed to manage it. Once assigned, the company gets an invitation to accept the project and manage it.
- Sub-projects can be located either at the same site as the master project or across multiple distinct locations.
- The sub-project will be listed under the same master project and also as an individual project to the creator.
- The sub-project will be listed as an individual project to the assinee.
- The timeline of the sub-project should be within the timeline of the master.
To add a sub-project
- Log in to the project management portal.
- Click 'Master Project' on the top.
The master project screen opens:
Tip: Use the 'Search' box at the top-left to find the master project you want.
- Click the name of the Master project to open it
- Click at the top right
The create sub-project screen opens with the details of the master project prepopulated:
Enter the following details:
- Sub Project name - A label to identify the sub-project on the Linarc platform.
- Job ID - Unique alpha-numeric identifier for the sub-project. Job Id cannot have special characters, blank spaces, or lowercase alphabets (10 characters max).
- Project Stage - The progress status of the sub-project. Choose the stage from the dropdown. You can update this field periodically to keep up with the construction progress.
- Planned start date - Select the day on which the sub-project work commenced or is planned to start.
- Planned end date - Select the estimated completion date of the sub-project.
- Managed by company - Specify the company responsible for managing the sub-project. Use the drop-down menu to select from the companies already associated with your organization. Choose the appropriate company from the list to assign management responsibilities.
- Company Role - Select the role of the company for the sub-project.
- Trade - Select the work trade or type of contractor.
- Address- The location of the project and its area.
- If the sub-project is a part of the master project and is in the same location as the master project, leave the 'Same as Master Project Location' checkbox selected. The address and the area are inherited from the master project.
- If the sub-project is located at a different location, deselect 'Same as Master Project Location' and enter the address:
- Start typing the address and choose from the suggestions.
- Alternatively, you can type the geo-coordinates (with latitude and longitude in decimal degree format) in the 'Site Coordinates' field. The address gets auto-populated.
- Site Area - The total area of the construction site in sq. Ft.
- Description - Add a short description of the sub-project.
- Click the 'Save' button to add the sub-project.
The company to which the sub-project is assigned receives an invitation to collaborate on the sub-project. The contractor, upon accepting the invitation, can start managing the sub-project from their Linarc project management portal.
