The 'Feeds' feature displays all project-related photos and videos uploaded by both field staff and the office staff at various points in time. These include, but are not limited to:
- Images/videos depicting individual tasks.
- Images/videos showing task progress at various time points.
The project managers can also upload project images or videos to the feeds and make them accessible to all the stakeholders and team members. You can also share the media files uploaded by you with other construction team members from different organizations participating in the project. This facilitates efficient communication and documentation for all stakeholders and team members.
- The module auto-classifies the items and groups them into different categories.
- You can also create and manage custom albums to streamline project documentation and storytelling.
The Feeds screen
- Ensure that you are in the 'Feeds' module. If not:
- Open the project management console
- Click the app launcher icon
in the top-right and select 'Field' - Click 'Feeds' at the top
An example is shown below:
The 'All' images screen opens by default, with the entire image gallery, showing the files uploaded by you and those shared with you by others.
- Each item is shown as a thumbnail
- Double-click on a thumbnail to view it on the same screen
From this interface, you can:
- View Photos in feeds
- View Videos in Feeds
- Add Photos or Videos to Feeds
- Edit the Details of Photo/Video
- Delete Photos/Videos from Feed
View Photos in feeds
- Open the 'Feeds' interface as mentioned above
- Click on an image file to open
You can also view image details like feed name, site location, and description.
View Videos in Feeds
You can watch the uploaded video files directly from the thumbnail view, in picture-in-picture mode, or full-screen mode.
- Open the 'Feeds' interface as mentioned above
- Click the play button to play the video in thumbnail view
- Click on the video file to open
From this screen, you can perform the following actions on the video:
- Click
button to play the video - Click
button and drag the slider to adjust the volume of the video - Click
to watch the video in full screen - Click the dots to select from the options and perform the following actions
- Adjust the playback speed of the video
- View the video in Picture in Picture mode.
Add Photos or Videos to Feeds
- Open the 'Feeds' interface as mentioned above
- Click the 'Upload' button on the top right
The 'Upload Feed' pop-up opens:
- Click 'Browse' and navigate to the image file you want to upload.
- Alternatively, drag and drop the image into the box
- Click 'Save'
Edit the Details of Photo/Video
- Open the image file as mentioned above
- Click the 'Pencil' icon on the top right
The 'Edit Feed' pop up opens:
- Edit the necessary details:
- Feed Name - The label of the image file uploaded
- Site Location - Area in the project site depicted in the image.
- Description - A short explanation of the image
- Click the 'Update Feeds' button to save your changes.
