General Contractor- View Daily Jobsite Report

The Daily Jobsite Report (DJR) provides a comprehensive overview of the day’s activities on-site for the general contractors. It details the resources utilized by all subcontractors present, the tasks performed, progress achieved, any safety incidents that occurred, etc. This report serves as a valuable snapshot of the day’s operations, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking for all parties involved.

  • Linarc automatically retrieves data from information entered by foremen and site staff present onsite each day.
  • At the end of each shift, the system consolidates data across various modules to generate detailed reports for each day or shift. 
  • All reports are archived, allowing you to easily access and review Daily Job Reports (DJRs) from any previous date.
  • You can also download the Daily Job Report (DJR) for any selected day as a PDF document, making it easy to share and retain for record-keeping purposes. 
Roles and Permissions:
The Daily Jobsite Report is available only to the general contractors.
Only users with 'View' permission enabled for the Daily Jobsite Report can view and download the report.

With the DJR module, you can:

View the Daily Jobsite Report

  • Ensure that you are on the management console of the project
  • Click the app launcher icon  in the top-right and select 'Field'
  • Click 'Analytics' on the top, then select 'DJR' on the left

The DJR for the current date is shown by default. 

  • Click the button at the top-right to reload the page and display the most up-to-date data, ensuring that all recent changes or updates are reflected accurately.
  • To view the report for an earlier date, Select the date and shift for which you want to see the reports from the respective drop-downs at the top-right

The report provides an overview of the job site with summary cards displayed at the top, followed by detailed information on tasks worked on by each subcontractor on-site.

Site Overview

Site Information

Shows the number of crew members from all the contractors, who were on site and the total number of effort hours they worked on various tasks that were performed on that day. It also shows the cumulative number of working days since the start day. 

Safety Incidents

Shows the number of consecutive safe days since the last recorded incident, the count of any safety incidents reported on that day (if applicable), and the date of the most recent incident. 

Weather condition

Shows the weather conditions at the project site for that day. 

Summary of Tasks Executed

The cards below the summary display the work performed by each subcontractor on-site. Each card includes detailed information on tasks executed by an individual subcontractor. For multiple tasks, use the left and right arrows to navigate through the card and view each task’s details.

The name of the contractor.

The default project manager assigned to the project from the contractor company

The label of the task, as assigned to the subcontractor from the master schedule

The serial number of the line item in the outline numbering system, as per the WBS hierarchy in the master schedule.

The cost code of the item.

The total completion percentage of the task, including the progress reported on that day.

The planned commencement start date of the task according to the master schedule.

The planned end date of the task according to the master schedule.

Use the left and right arrows to navigate between details of successive task items when multiple tasks are performed by the contractor on-site. 

Download the job site report as a PDF Document

The 'Daily Jobsite Report' screen allows you to save a copy of the report as a PDF file for sharing and record-keeping purposes. You can generate the pdf file of the DJR for any previous date and download it.

To download the DJR

  • Open the DJR screen to view the report of the current day and shift
  • If you want to generate the PDF for the report pertaining to an earlier date, use the 'Date' and 'Shift' drop-downs at the top to select the date/shift
  • Click the 'PDF' button

The 'Downloads' pane displays a list of any previously generated PDF files for different dates, providing quick access to past versions for reference or review. 

  • Click 'Generate'

The system compiles the PDF version of the report. The process takes around 30 seconds. 

  • Reopen the 'Downloads' pane by clicking the 'PDF' button.

The recently created PDF file is shown at the top of the list if there are multiple items.

  • Click  to open the file on a new browser tab.
  • Click  to download it.
  • Download and save the file on your device.
