A picture is worth a thousand words. Placing a photo in a markup allows you to have a visual note for an observation or a reminder.
As required, you can add pictures captured using your device camera or from your local storage and affix them to specific spots on the plan drawing.
The 'Image' tool in the markup toolbar lets you add pictures and images to a markup.
To attach a photo
- Open the plan sheet.
- Tap the 'Image' tool to select it.
- Touch the spot on the plan sheet where you want to place the picture
- Long touch the camera icon until the handles appear at the corners and drag it to the precise location if required.
- Use the handles to resize the markup
- Double-tap the camera icon to reveal the options.
- Choose the source
- Library - Navigate to the picture you want to use from your device gallery.
- Camera - Take a new photo using your device's camera.
The photo is affixed to the spot on the plan drawing but hidden by default.
You can set the image to be hidden or to show.
- Double-tap the camera and choose 'Show Image' from the options to view the hidden image.
Alternatively
- Double-tap the camera and choose 'Info' from the options
- Enable 'Show Image on Marker' in the 'Info' pane for the picture to always appear on the spot over the plan drawing.
You can move the image and resize it by selecting it and using the handles at the corners:
The markup element adds as a layer to the 'Draft' group. It is shown in the layer editor on the left.
- Open the layer editor by touching the icon
- Use the icon to show or hide the layer
- Tap the ellipses button to open the edit options.
- Select 'Copy' to clone the element. See Edit markup layers for more details.
- Select 'Delete' to remove an element added by mistake
- Go to the next tool if you want to add more markup elements.
- Once you are done with the markup elements, save the layer group as markup. See Publish markups for more guidance.
