Upload Files

Modified on Thu, 30 Jan at 6:17 AM

You can save project-related files of any kind, like documents, drawings, images, photos, videos, etc., to the folders on the project's cloud repository from your local storage.

  • Your Folders - You can add/remove files to/from the folders created by you at anytime
  • Other people's folders - You can upload files to other peoples' folders if you have access to them. But you can only remove files from folders with 'Public' access and not from folders with 'Restricted' and 'Private' access restrictions.
Note: Files can only be saved in the company drive and the project drive. The System Drive is reserved exclusively for the automatic archiving of finalized project documents, such as RFIs and Submittals, and does not permit manual file additions.

To upload files

  • Ensure that you are on the drive in which you want to create a new folder. If not,
    • Open the project management console
    • Click the app launcher and select 'Project'
    • Select 'Drive' from the options on the left
    • Select your company name or 'Project' on the left to open the required drive
  • Navigate to the folder in which you want to upload the file
  • Right-click on the folder
  • Choose 'Add File' from the options

  • Drag and drop the files you want to upload to the 'Attachments' pop-up.
    • Alternatively, click inside the pop-up, navigate to the files you want to upload, and select them.
  • You can add multiple files from different locations one by one.
Tip:
You can remove items added by mistake from the upload list.

The files are added to the folder you chose. The files are also available to other team members depending on the access settings configured for the folder or the file level.
