The Takeoff screen provides a comprehensive overview of all measurement markups created on plan sheets—both your own and those shared with you.
- Each individual measurement element within a group is listed separately, showing detailed data such as length, width, perimeter, and area where applicable.
- You can quickly access and open any takeoff markup directly from this screen for review or assessment and quantity takeoff calculations.
- Measurements for any specific takeoff can be easily downloaded as an Excel sheet, complete with all relevant dimensions and details.
View All Takeoff Measurements
- Ensure that you 're in the 'Takeoff' screen in the 'Plans' module. If not,
- Open the management console for the project
- Click the app launcher icon
in the top-right, then select 'Documents.'
- Click 'Plans' on the top, then choose 'Takeoff' from the left
The screen displays a comprehensive list of all takeoff measurement markups you’ve created, along with those shared with you. Each item within a measurement group is presented as a separate line entry for easy identification and access.
'The 'Default View' shows all the standard columns. However, you can customize the table by removing the columns you don't want to see, by right-clicking on the column header and deselecting the columns, and rearranging the columns in the order you want to view. See Customize Columns in List Views for more details. Following is the list of all possible columns.
- Sheet Number – The number of the plan sheet where the measurement markup exists. Click the sheet number to open the corresponding plan sheet with the markup highlighted.
- Markup Name – The name or label identifying the measurement markup group. Click the name to view the associated plan sheet with the markup.
- Sheet Name and Sheet Version – Indicates the name and revision number of the plan sheet containing the measurement markup. Markups created on one version are automatically carried forward to subsequent versions of the same sheet.
- Length, Width, Perimeter, and Area – The measured dimensions of the markup element, displayed with appropriate units.
- Unit Type – Specifies whether the measurements are recorded in Metric or Imperial units.
- Created By – The name of the user who created the markup.
- Date Created – The date when the markup was initially added.
- Last Updated – The date when the markup element was last modified or corrected.
Search and filter options:
- Use the 'Search' box located at the top left to locate an item using any value from the table as search criteria.
