Record time for individual tasks

Modified on Tue, 3 Dec at 12:02 AM

When you are moving from one task to another or taking a break, you can switch the stopwatch to the new task, so that the switching time is recorded as the end time for the previous task and the start time for the new task.

To switch between tasks

  • Open the TimeCard app.
  • Ensure that you're on the correct project and the 'Stopwatch' menu is open.
  • Ensure that the timer runs for the existing task.

  • Choose the new task you moved to. The task name turns orange.

  • Tap the clock icon in the new task's row.

The timer for the previous task stops, and the new task starts. The action is logged.

  • Repeat the process when you are switching to another task or returning to the previous task.
  • When you are resuming a previous task, the timer starts from where it was left.
  • Tap 'Clock Out' if you are done for the day, to submit your timecard. See Clock out and submit to learn more.
Note: You will be able to record time for the remaining time of the day even if you have inadvertently tapped 'Clock Out,' before your shift ends. See Clock out and resume to learn more.
