View Budget Adjustment History

Modified on Tue, 24 Feb at 6:33 AM

The budget reallocation history allows you to view a complete audit trail of every adjustment made between budget lines. This ensures you always have clear visibility into how and when funds were moved within a finalized contract.

To view the budget reallocation history

  • Ensure you are in the 'Transaction History' screen of the 'Finance' module. If not:
    • Open the management console of the project.
    • Click the app launcher icon in the top-right and select 'Finance'
    • Click 'Contract' on top and select 'Transaction History' on the left

The table displays all budget line items as an expandable list.

  • To view a transaction log: Click the arrow to the left of an item's Cost Code to expand its history.
  • To view adjustment details: Click the serial number of a budget line to open the full adjustment details in the right pane.

Column Definitions:

  • Cost Code: The cost code of the line item involved in the adjustment. Typically, this is the standard CSI MasterFormat code for the task/deliverable, or your company's custom code.
  • Description: The name or label of the budget item.
  • Transaction Date: The exact date and time the adjustment was recorded or applied.
  • Original Budget: The initial amount allocated to the line item before the modifications were made.
  • Increase: The total amount added to the line item's original budget.
  • Decrease: The total amount deducted from the line item's original budget.
  • Net Budget: The current, updated budget amount after factoring in all increases and decreases.
  • Adjustment Amount - The specific value added to or deducted from the budget line item during this transaction.

Search, filter, and sorting options

  • Hover over a column header and click the icon to sort the rows in ascending or descending order of entries in that column

View Groups and Subtotals

  • You can get totals and subtotals of numerical data for any selected set of records by grouping and applying nested grouping. Use the  icon at the top right to organize the data by column headers
  • The system automatically aggregates relevant numerical values, giving a structured breakdown and a clear view of the grand total distribution. See Group and Organize Items in a List View for more details
