Linarc’s native Google Drive integration lets you link your Google Drive folder to your Linarc account—enabling real-time synchronization between your project file repositories and your shared GDrive folder.
- One-Time Setup, Continuous Sync - Link your Google Drive to your company account once, and it becomes available as an external drive for backup and sharing across all projects.
- Push all project files - Including manually uploaded items and system-generated documents like RFIs, Submittals, and T&M tickets—to your designated shared GDrive folder.
- Control on Sync - Choose between real-time auto-sync or manual sync for complete control over file updates, renames, and deletions.
Even collaborators without a Linarc account can access shared project files directly in GDrive (based on granted permissions), simplifying teamwork with both internal and external stakeholders.
There are two ways to connect your GDrive
- Shared Drive – Create a dedicated drive from your Google Workspace account and link it to your company account. Recommended for organizations using corporate Google accounts.
- My Drive – Create a dedicated folder from your personal Google account and link it to your company account. Recommended for individual users.
Shared Drive Configuration
This method uses a dedicated Shared Drive in your Google Workspace account, linked via a service account.
- Create or identify a dedicated Shared Drive within your Workspace.
- Download the key file for the dedicated service account in JSON format.
- Upload the JSON key file to Linarc to verify and authenticate the connection.
- Once connected, Linarc will be authorized to push folders and files directly to the Shared Drive.

My Drive Configuration
This method uses a dedicated folder in your personal Google Drive account, linked via your Google credentials.
- Create a dedicated folder in your Google Drive.
- Grant the Linarc service account Editor privileges for that folder.
- Authorize the connection by signing in with your Google credentials.
- Once linked, Linarc can push folders and files directly to the dedicated folder in My Drive.
