Manage Project Toolbox Talk Events

Linarc's Toolbox Talk plays a vital role in enforcing safety standards and meeting regulatory obligations on-site. The project manager can easily oversee event attendance, view event details, maintain accurate records, and download them as needed from the project management console, making it easy to share or archive them.

  • Track attendance progress and see which project members have acknowledged participation.

  • Update attendance before the event is closed.

  • Close an event after attendance is collected to finalize the record.

  • Cancel the event if it has been called off or is no longer taking place.

  • Download a comprehensive PDF report that includes all relevant event information, signatures, and references.

Open project-specific toolbox talk events

  • Open the project management console
  • Click the app launcher and select 'Field'
  • Click 'Safety' on the top, then select 'Toolbox Talks' from the left

  • Event Title – The high-level summary or the category of the toolbox talk session.  
  • Event Date – The scheduled date when the Toolbox Talk will take place.

  • Toolbox Topic – The primary subject or focus area covered in the Toolbox Talk.

  • Toolbox Title – The official title of the Toolbox Talk template used for the event.

  • Created On – The date the Toolbox Talk template was added to the library.

  • Host – The person responsible for conducting or leading the Toolbox Talk session.

  • Created By – The user who originally added the Toolbox Talk template to the library.

  • Event Start Time – The time when the Toolbox Talk event is scheduled to begin.

  • Event End Time – The time when the Toolbox Talk event is scheduled to conclude.

  • Links – Direct URLs to relevant OSHA documents or any supporting materials attached to the talk.

  • Status – The current state of the event.

    • Open – The event is scheduled and upcoming.

    • Closed – The event has concluded, and attendance is now closed.

    • Cancelled – The event has been called off and will not take place.

  • PDF – A downloadable document version of the Toolbox Talk, typically including the details of the session and attendance report.

From this screen, you can

Update your attendance for a toolbox event

  • Open the toolbox talk event screen, as mentioned above.
  • Click the desired event to open the details in the right pane

  • Click the 'Attendance' icon to update your attendance.

In the confirmation box, check your signature and click confirm. By default, the signature added to your profile appears. If you want to change your signature, see Register your signature for more details.

  • Click the 'Submit' button
Note- You can only add attendance for yourself only once per session.Changes after submission may not be allowed.

Close a toolbox talk event

  • Open the toolbox talk event screen, as mentioned above.
  • Click on the Serial number of the event to open the event details on the right.

  • Click the  'close event' icon

Cancel a toolbox talk event

You can cancel a Toolbox Talk event anytime after it’s scheduled and before it begins. Once canceled all project members will be automatically notified.

Note: The event should be in 'Open' status, if you need to cancel an event. You cannot cancel a closed event.
  • Ensure you are in the 'Toolbox Event' screen. If not
  • Open the toolbox talk event screen, as mentioned above.
  • Click on the Serial number of the event to open the event details on the right.

  • Click '' icon. The event is cancelled and the project members are notified about the same.
Note: It is important to cancel an event before the start tine of the event so that the project memebers who attend the event are notified on time.

View Attendees of the toolbox talk event

  • Open the toolbox talk event screen, as mentioned above.
  • Click the desired event to open the details in the right pane

  • Expand the 'Attendees' tab to view the project members who attended the event
