Custom Reports - Overview

Linarc’s powerful report generation module empowers project managers to create on-demand reports packed with comprehensive statistics and insights across multiple facets of the project. Reports can be easily downloaded in PDF format for seamless sharing and accurate record-keeping.

  • Reports are generated from saved templates, each structured to include relevant data based on the report’s intended purpose.
  • Linarc comes with a curated collection of ready-to-use templates designed to cover a wide range of essential project reporting needs.
  • You can also create custom templates from scratch or by cloning an existing one, allowing you to tailor reports precisely to your project’s unique requirements.
  • Additionally, any generated report can be instantly converted into a reusable template with just a single click, streamlining future reporting tasks.

This feature is especially valuable for recurring project assessments, progress reviews, Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, and other key project communications.

Custom Report Templates

  • Linarc offers the flexibility to create customized reusable templates, including a branded cover page to reflect your organization’s identity. Multiple templates can be designed for various report types, allowing you to include data from selected modules in a structured order.
Note: You can include reports of the modules for which you have access permission. Contact your company admin for more details.

The Report Builder module offers streamlined access to both previously generated reports and your library of saved templates:

  • The Reports Screen - Displays a list of all previously generated reports. You can quickly reference these reports or use them as templates to generate new reports with the latest project data.
  • The Report Template Screen - Displays a curated list of report templates tailored for the project. You can generate reports from these templates at any time or create new ones, either from scratch or by cloning an existing template for faster setup.

The Reports Screen

  • Ensure you are on the 'Bulletin' screen within the 'Project Information' module of the project. If not:

    • Hover your mouse over the main menu at the top-left
      • Click 'Information' under 'Project' in the menu drop-down.
      • Click 'Report Builder' and 'Reports' on the left

The reports screen opens with a list of reports created for the project with their details:

  • Report Name- The title of the report template. Click on the name to open it. You can:
    • View the template
    • Generate the report with up-to-date data from the template
    • Edit the template if required
  • Report Description - A brief description of the report and its purpose
  • Created By - The user who created the report
  • Created Date - The day on which the report was first created
  • Actions - Allows you to delete the report

The Report Templates Screen

  • Click 'Report Builder'. then 'Templates' on the left

The templates screen opens with a list of templates created for the project, with their details:

Note:
You can use the system-generated templates to create your project reports. These standard templates can be edited and saved as new custom templates. System-generated templates cannot be deleted.
  • Name- The title of the template
  • Created By - The user who created the report template
  • Created Date - The day on which the report template was first created
  • Action - Allows you to use the template for report generation or delete the template.`
Search, Filter, and Sorting Options
  • Click the magnifier icon and use the 'Search' box located at the top left to find an entry using any value from the table as search criteria 
  • Click any column header to sort the rows in ascending or descending order based on that column's data.
  • Click the cog wheel icon at the top right to adjust the display density and customize the display and order of the columns. See Customize Columns in List Views.
  • The options at the top left allow you to filter the entries, create nested groups of entries, and manage personalized and customized views of the table. Use the links below to learn more:
Download as Excel Sheet Click the 'Download' icon at the top right to save a local copy of the list in Excel format for sharing and record-keeping. See Download List Views and Logs in Excel Format for more details
