View Budget Allocations for Tasks in a Specific Week or Month

The 'Schedule Allocations' screen offers general contractors a comprehensive overview of cost allocations tied to tasks and work items scheduled for execution during a selected week or month. This powerful feature enables GCs to:

  • Gain clear insights into the portion of the budget line items allocated to tasks planned for the specified period.
  • Anticipate the cash flow requirements for that timeframe and the Statements of Values (SOVs) expected from contractors.
  • Planned timelines for the tasks that will undergo execution within that period.

Stay informed and manage project finances more effectively with this detailed view of scheduled budget allocations.

To view the schedule allocations

  • Open the management console of the project
  • Click the app launcher then select 'Finance.'
  • Click 'Budget' on top, then select 'Schedule Allocation' from the left
  • Select the period from which you want to view the report using the tabs at the top
    • Weekly - Select the start date of the week from the calendar drop-down
    • Monthly - Select the month from the calendar drop-down

The table shows the following items that fall under the selected period:

  • Outline - The WBS-based serial number of the task item in the master schedule.
  • Cost Code - The cost code linked to the budget line item funding the task.
  • Task Name - The name of the task as listed in the master schedule.
  • Planned Start - The scheduled start date of the task.
  • Planned End - The scheduled completion date of the task.
  • Allocated Amount - The total budget allocated to the task, inclusive of the GC's profit.
  • Total Budgeted Amount - The overall budget of the line item in the project budget, including the GC's profit.
  • Contractor - The contractor assigned to execute the task.

Search and filter options:

Download the Report

  • Click the download button at the top-right to save a local copy of the table in Excel format for sharing or record keeping.
