Pull and Execute a PLI Task

Modified on Sun, 3 Nov at 4:44 AM

The field in-charge personnel like the site superintendent or the foreman can pull the accepted items as tasks to execute on the field. They can assign crew members to the task and schedule them to work.

Roles and Permissions:
Only users with 'Assign Crew' permission for the 'Field Crew' module and 'Route' permission for the 'Punchlist' module enabled in their role can pull and assign crew members to an item.

Assign Crew Members

You can select the crew members to work on the defect. Optionally, you can add notes and photo or video attachments for your crew’s reference. The item is listed as an assigned task for the day to the crew member on their timecard app. This allows them to work on the task and record the time spent against the task.

To assign crew members

  • Ensure that the item is open
  • Tap the 'Crew' stripe
  • Tap 'Add' beside the name of a new member to add to the task
  • Tap ‘Done’

The item is pushed as a task to the crew members for that same day. Once they start the work and mark time against the task, the item's status changes to 'In Progress.'

Add Crew Notes and attachments

You can add detailed instructions along with supporting attachments to address the issue. These will be displayed as task descriptions in the mobile app, ensuring timely and prompt resolution.

  • Tap 'Crew Notes' and enter your instructions to the crew members.
  • Tap 'Crew Attachments' and attach photos/videos illustrating the issue and your instructions to resolve it.

The crew members can access the task on their time card app with your instructions and the attachments, work on the task, and clock their working hours. They can also upload photos and add their notes to the task.

Once the task is completed you can mark the item as resolved on your punch list module.

See the next page ‘Resolve punch list items’ for more details.
