Compare Plan Sheets and Revisions

The Plan Sheets Comparison tool provides a powerful visual overlay of two drawings—or two versions of the same sheet—rendered in contrasting colors. This high-contrast view allows you to instantly detect revisions, updates, and discrepancies that might otherwise be missed, ensuring total clarity across your project lifecycle.

• Instantly pinpoint additions, removals, or modifications between drawing iterations.
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy by verifying that all updates are correctly reflected in your documentation.
• Improve team communication by providing a clear, shared visualization of design changes.
• Identify potential conflicts early to reduce field errors and minimize the need for expensive rework.

Compare Versions

• If you do not have the plan sheet already open:
  • Open the management console for the project
  • Click the app launcher icon in the top-right, then select 'Documents.'
  • Click 'Plans' on the top and choose 'Plan Sheets' on the left
  • Click on the thumbnail to open the latest version of the plan sheet

• Click the 'Compare' button on the top right

The compare sheets pop-up opens:

The first sheet is set as the opened sheet by default. You can change it if required by clicking 'Change' at the top right. 

• Click inside the 'Select sheet code' field, type the first few letters of the sheet number to search, and choose the desired sheet or version from the results to begin the comparison.

• Click the 'Compare' button

The system overlays one sheet on top of the other and automatically highlights all differences. Changes are visually marked using red and blue indicators for easy identification. 

You can use the visibility options on the left to view the individual sheets.
