Set Up Geofence and Site Access Point

Modified on Wed, 28 Jan at 11:16 PM

The Site Settings module enables General Contractors and stand-alone contractors to define a virtual project boundary, creating a unified framework for all contractors to automate crew monitoring and ensure accurate timekeeping. By establishing a geofence, the system ensures that work hours are validated against physical presence on-site.

  • Geofence: The geofence defines the boundary around the site within which your crew members should be present during their working hours. The digital timecard records accept in-time entries and other timesheet entries only if crew members are within this geofence.
  • Site Access: Defines the entry/egress points of the site for crew, equipment, and material deliveries. The site's Plus Code and coordinates are generated based on this access location.

The Site Settings module also allows contractors to configure an auto-clock out grace period for their own field staff. This setting prevents false clock-outs due to GPS drift or brief exits, provided the crew member returns within the grace period. If this limit is exceeded, the system automatically clocks them out. For configuration steps, see Setup Auto-clockout Threshold.
