Responsible team members, typically project managers from the general contractor, subcontractors, and the design teams with the required permissions, can upload plan drawing sets, such as floor plans, site plans, elevation drawings, and landscape plans, to the project in PDF or image format (.pdf, .png, .jpg, .jpeg). Linarc automatically processes the files, extracts individual sheets, and organizes them for access and sharing.
- Organized viewing: Sheets are neatly organized for quick navigation.
- Controlled sharing: Published sheets are private by default. Grant access to selected team members, stakeholders, and collaborating companies.
- Cross-platform access: Shared plan sheets are available on both the web console and the mobile app for seamless field and office coordination.
The plan drawings are also available to all team members and project managers to whom they are shared, for attachment to the document items, like requests for information (RFIs), submittals, punch lists, change orders, and more.
Linarc also supports version control. You can upload any number of new plans or revised versions of the existing plans to the project throughout its lifecycle. Your colleagues will see the latest version by default. However, if required, they can also view the previous versions of the plans.
Plan Sheet Details
Linarc’s advanced AI automatically scans each plan drawing extracted from the uploaded files to identify key details, saving time and eliminating the need for manual entry. It even reads the drawing’s scale and auto-calibrates measurement tools for accurate markups and takeoffs. This applies whether you upload from your device or import from cloud storage.
- Extracts sheet number, sheet name, date, discipline, and more, even when formats vary or information isn’t in standard locations.
- Automatically detects and applies the drawing scale for instant measurement accuracy.
- Presents a draft list of uploaded sheets with all extracted details for quick review and verification.
- Allows easy editing of any missing or unclear details before publishing the plan sheets.
Extraction can be incomplete when sheet text is unclear or placed unusually, so review the draft list before you publish.
Ways to upload plan sets
Plan sheet sets can be uploaded to a project in two ways:
- From your local storage: Upload plan set PDF or image files directly from your device.
- From external drives: Upload plan sets directly from connected cloud storage services, such as Google Drive, Egnyte, SharePoint, or Dropbox. You don’t need to download large files from architects or other stakeholders first. You can connect up to two folders at a time, and swap folders to fetch the latest revisions.
In both cases, you choose New Set Upload to create a set, or Upload from existing set to add new or revised sheets to an existing set. Start from 'Documentation' > 'Plan Sheets' > 'Plan Sets'.
