The location tool helps you mark exact points on a plan drawing for clarity and reference.
- Pinpoint specific spots on the plan to highlight areas of interest, such as punch list items or RFI references.
- Add text notes and arrows to your location markups to provide additional context and explanation.
- Alternatively, use the Location Identifier tools to place graphical pins that mark precise positions for specific tasks or installations. For more details, refer to Mark Location Identifiers.
To add a location markup
- Click the location pin tool from the toolbar.
- Click the spot on the plan where you want to place the pin.

- Click on the pin and drag it to the precise location if needed.
- Drag the corners to resize the pin.
The markup element is added as a layer to the 'Draft' group. It is shown in the layer editor on the left.
- Use the
icon to show or hide the layer - Click the
icon to remove an element added by mistake - Click the element label in the layer editor and edit it with a brief description of its purpose, if needed, to keep your elements organized.
- Go to the next tool if you want to add more markup elements.
- Once you are done with the markup elements, save the layer group as a markup. See Publish Markups for more details
