    Manage Plan Markups

      Article Summary

The plan markups interface shows a list of all markups you made to all plan sheets and those shared with you. This includes the personal markups made through the plans module/mobile app and different modules, including submittal, RFIs, COs, and punch lists.

The interface allows you to view the markups, set/edit access rights, and delete unwanted markups.

      Note:
      You can view the following:
      • All markups made by you
      • Markups made by others, only for which you are given access

      View all plan markups

      • Open the project management console
      • Click 'Plans' on the top, then choose 'Markups' from the left

The screen shows the list of all plan markups you made and those shared with you.

        • Sheet Name - The sheet number and version of the plan that bears the markup. Markups made on one version are carried forward to the successive versions of the plan sheet. Each version with the same markup is shown as a line item.
        • Markup Name - The label to identify the markup. Click on the name to view the plan sheet with the markup.
        • Created By - The user who created the markup
        • Date Created - The date at which the markup was added
        • Access- The access permissions set for the markup. The team members can access the markup depending on the access set to it. The possible values are:
          • Public - Viewable by all users belonging to all companies participating in the project
          • Restricted - Viewable only by users belonging to selected companies participating in the project
          • Private - Viewable only by selected persons from your company who participate in the project. This includes, for example, fellow project managers, construction managers, project directors, etc.
      • The controls on the right enable you to manage the markup. You can change the access permission of markup from this interface, overriding the permission set while sharing the markup.

Search and Filter options - Use the Find, Filter, and View customization options on the right to search, filter, etc. See Search, Filter, Column Customization, and Table Views for guidance on this.

      Open and view a markup

      • Click the sheet name or the markup's name to view the plan sheet with the markup.

      An example is shown below:

You can peruse the markup, share the markup, and set access permissions. See Share Markups for more details.

Setup access permissions for a markup

      • Open the 'Plan Markups' screen
      • Click the 'Access' button in the row of the markup to set its access rights

There are three types of access restrictions applicable to the markups:

        • Public - Viewable by all users belonging to all companies participating in the project
        • Restricted - Viewable only by users belonging to selected companies participating in the project
          • Select the companies from the next pop-up and click 'Select'
        • Private - Viewable only by selected persons from your company who participate in the project. This includes, for example, fellow project managers, construction managers, project directors, etc.
          • Select the project members belonging to your company in the next pop-up and click 'Select'

The markup access is set. Only the selected persons can view the markup on their project management consoles and mobile apps. The access rights will take effect only on the markup made on that version you chose from the list. If the markup has been inherited from the chosen version to the later versions of the same drawing, those won't get affected. If you want to set up access rights to a markup on all versions, you have to do it for each version one by one.

      Remove a markup

      • Open the 'Plan Markups' screen
      • Click the 'Delete' button in the row of the markup to remove it

      • Click 'Delete' in the confirmation dialog

The markup is removed only from the selected version of the plan drawing. If the markup has been inherited from the chosen version to the later versions of the same drawing, those won't get affected. If you want to delete a markup on all versions, you have to do it for each version one by one.
