    Close and Publish a submittal


      Article Summary

      The requestor or the stakeholder assigned to close a submittal will be able to close the submittal, once it has been accepted by the approver.

      Digital Signatures

      If DocuSign integration is enabled, the GC can obtain the digital signatures of the stakeholders involved in the submittal, as required.

      • The GC or the submittal manager invites the signatories to endorse the document before closing the submittal. See Invite signatories to learn more. 
      • The invitees get notified, review, and sign the document from the DocuSign portal.
      • Once all the invitees complete signing the document, the GC can close the submital. The signed document will be available for download. See View and Download submittals for guidance on this. 

      To close and publish a submittal

      You will get a notification once the respondent completes the answers and forwards a submittal. Based on the workflow, the submittal is automatically assigned to you.

      • Click the notification to open the submittal.
      • Alternatively:  
        • Open the project's management portal.
        • Click 'Submittal ' on the top and choose 'Boards' from the left.
        • Open the answered submittal from the 'Approved' column. The items that are awaiting your response are indicated with the tag 'You' in blue.

      • Click the down arrow at the right of the submittal to expand the pane and review the response.
      • Click the 'Close' button on the top right.

      The status of the submittal  changes to 'Close.' The submittal is moved to the 'Closed' column in the submittal interface of the project management portals of all participants. The participants get a notification of the closure.
