Chat and Collaborate on Feed Images

The collaboration feature in the Feeds module lets you have context-based conversations relevant to the images uploaded with the other team members.

To open a chat in Feeds

• Open the project management console
• Click 'Feeds' on the top

An example is shown below:

Start a Conversation 

• Open the Feeds screen
• Click on an image file for which you want to start a conversation 

• Click the icon at the top right

The 'Collaboration' pane opens on the right with a group chat window specific to that image. The title of the image is set as the topic of the conversation. 

All persons, including the project managers of all contractor and architect companies, are automatically and dynamically imported as participants in the conversation. If required, you can manually add more participants to the conversation. 

• Enter your message at the textbox at the bottom

You can also format your text using the options at the bottom left and add image attachments from your local storage by clicking the image icon at the right.

• Click the button to send your message.
  • Alternatively, press 'Ctrl' + 'Enter' on your keyboard

All participants will get notifications on their project management console portal. The 'Collaboration' menu on the top indicates the number of new messages waiting for their perusal and response.

View members

• Click the icon to expand the conversation window

• Click the  icon on the top-right

The current members of the conversation are shown:

Add more members

• Click the icon at the top.

The 'Select People' pop-up shows the list of all project managers from the other contractor/architect companies involved in the project.

• Select the people to add to the conversation
• Click 'Add Members'

The participants are added to the conversation.

Respond to a conversation

The 'Collaboration' icon on the top right notifies you whenever there is a new message in any of the conversations in which you are a member. The total count of new messages in all chats appears beside the icon as the notification.

• Click on the top right to open the list of conversations.

• Use the drop-down at the top right to filter the conversations that belong to feeds:

The number at the right of the topic indicates the count of new, unread messages in that chat.

• Select a conversation to view its content and respond to it.

The right pane shows the messages and image attachments from the participants in chronological order.

• Enter your response message in the textbox at the bottom

You can also format your text using the options at the left and add image attachments from your local storage by clicking the image icon at the right

• Click the button to send your message

Tip:

Alternatively, you can open the image and click the  icon on the top right to chat.
