      Article Summary

The construction management involves crucial items and documents like the Submittals, RFI, and Change Orders, which pass through a response/approval workflow for action by different stakeholders in their life-cycle.

The workflow setup in Linarc allows you to define the stakeholder responsible for each step of an item’s workflow from the parties collaborating on the project. The system passes the item to the responsible party in successive steps and provides them access to the item for their response.

      Stakeholders registered with Linarc

The parties who are Linarc subscribers can be added as project collaborators, to the project directory. These people receive the notification of the assignments and can access the items to respond in-app.

      Parties external to Linarc

The construction team can also include project stakeholders and other parties like vendors and specialty contractors external to Linarc. However, they need to be included in the workflows for their response/approval/endorsement of managed items.

These parties can be added as guest users to a project and assigned responsibilities in the response/approval workflows of the project’s managed items. Once assigned, these people get notified of the assignment through email, with a link to access the item.

On clicking the link, they can open the item on the Linarc console and add their response/approval as assigned in the workflow.

The Guest User feature allows you to add manage parties who do not have an account with Linarc, to a project. These guest users can be assigned the following actions in the workflows:

      • Submittals - Submit, Review Approve
      • RFI - Answer
      Note:
The guest user can access an assigned item only till the date specified in the workflow setup of the item. The access expires once the due date for the step assigned to them elapses
