    Frequently asked questions

      Article Summary

What happens if I am away from the site?

You are required to stay within the job site for your stopwatch to run continuously during your shift hours. However, if you are moving out of the site when your stopwatch is running, you will be notified as shown below.

If you do not return to the site within the grace period of five minutes, you will be auto-clocked out. You can resume your clock once you return to the site.

What happens if my phone runs out of battery and switches off?

Your time counter value is not lost even if your phone switches off. The timecard saves the time at which your phone switches off and auto-resumes when your phone switches on. The stopwatch will continue with the last attended task and include the time for which the phone was inactive as the time spent on the same task. If required, you can switch tasks, if you have moved to a new task in the meantime.

What happens if I miss to clock out at the end of a day?

The timecard automatically clocks you out for the day at the end of your shift time.

Do I need a network connection to use the Timecard?

Yes. The timecard is cloud-based hence receives and forwards data to the server for various operations like task assignments, payroll calculations, and more. We recommend you stay connected to the internet to get real-time updates of task assignments and other announcements.

However, the app is functional for limited operations even when you are temporarily offline, i.e. not connected to a network. The timecard entries like punch in/punch out operations, time spent on various tasks, and breaks are saved and sent to the system for processing when the connection is restored.

What to do if a task does not show?

If you receive a task assignment through other means of communication but could not see the task in your timecard app, contact your superior in the field, viz. the site supervisor, construction manager, or the foreman to add you to the task. Once added, the task appears in the list of your assigned tasks and you will be able to select the task for clocking the time spent on the task.

What do I do if I chose the wrong task when recording the time?

You can review and edit your time log for the day before submission. You will be able to transfer the time recorded on one task to other by editing the task name. See Clock out and submit for more guidance.

What if I forgot to resume the clock after a clock-out?

You will be able to add the time spent on the tasks in the period between your clock-out and resume operations. See View and edit your timecard logs for more guidance.

What if I clocked out before the end of my shift but continued to work?

You can review the time logs and add the tasks worked on after your clock-out and resubmit the timecard at the end of your shift period. See Clock out and submit for more guidance.

What are the time periods allowed for short and long breaks?

By default, the time allowed for a short break is 15 minutes and for the long break is 30 minutes.

What if I forgot to switch tasks after a break?

You will be shown a notification when the break period is over.

If you miss switching the task on the lapse of the period, the time card will auto switch to the task you were involved in before the break. If you are out of the site during a break continuously for more than five minutes, you will be auto-clocked out. You can resume your clock once you return to the site.

Can I enter the time I spend on meetings?

Yes. You can choose 'Meetings' as the task to record the time spent on meetings on the site.

I forgot my password. What should I do?

You can reset your password by tapping the 'Forgot Password' link on the login screen. You should verify your phone number by entering your phone number as in the company records and a one-time password (OTP) received on your phone. See Change your password for more guidance.

Can I change my registered phone number in the timecard app?

No. Please contact your company administrator to change your phone number in the company records. The change will automatically reflect in the app.

What should I do if I move from one job site to other during my shift time?

You should clock out from the project you are currently working on before leaving the site. Once reached another site, you should select the other project then resume your clock.
