    Custom Forms and Fields

      Article summary

Linarc uses a variety of forms to capture essential details related to managed items and assets across different modules. These forms are designed with standard fields that ensure all pertinent information is collected for items such as RFIs, Submittals, Change Orders, and more.

Beyond these standard fields, Linarc provides the flexibility to customize forms by adding additional fields tailored to your specific project or company needs. This allows you to capture unique details and parameters that the default fields may not cover. For instance, you can create a custom field in the RFI creation form to include the number of attachments associated with the RFI, ensuring that all necessary details are recorded.

      • Custom fields are created and managed at the company level for various modules
      • These fields are available in the respective project-level and company-level management modules of the company
      • Custom fields can be limited to be applied only to selected projects
      • You can create custom fields for different response types, like short text, long text, date, and number, and even as a drop-down to select the values
      Note:
The 'Custom Fields' feature is currently supported only for the 'Equipment' and 'Submittal' modules. The feature will be extended to all other applicable modules soon.

You can edit or remove a custom field at any time. The change takes effect immediately on the respective form but will not retroactively affect items created/closed earlier.
