      The conditional coloring feature in the scheduler can help enhance the visual representation of project schedules, making it easier for project managers and team members to quickly grasp the status, identify potential issues, and make informed decisions.

      By applying color cues based on specific conditions, the scheduler not only enhances clarity but also streamlines the identification of critical elements within the project timeline. You can apply conditional coloring in the following instances.

      • Apply colors to values that exceed or fall below predefined thresholds for easy identification.
      • Color code to identify tasks that are on schedule, another for tasks that are behind schedule.
      • Easily identify tasks that cannot start or finish until others are completed, aiding in efficient project sequencing.

      Conditional coloring

      • Navigate to the schedule interface of the project management console and ensure that you are in the grid view
      • Click to open the conditional coloring dialog box

      • Enter the following details:
        • Field - Select the columns to which you want to highlight
        • Operator - Choose the conditional expression for the selected field 
        • Value - Enter the provisional value for the selected field. The values differ based on the field choosen
        • Select Color - Choose the color code for the condition to be applied
          • Click the color dot at the left in the row of the line item to open the color picker.

      There are two ways in which you can specify color code:

      1. Color picker

        • Drag the slider in the color spectrum bar to select the hue
        • Drag the circle in the color field to select the shade
        • Drag the slider in the opacity bar to set the color transparency level
        • The color coordinates of the chosen color is auto-populated in the text box at the bottom

      2. Color coordinates

        • Click the arrows at the bottom right repeatedly to switch between  HEX, RGBA, and HSLA input modes
        •  Enter the HEX, RGBA, or HSLA value of the color you want to assign to the item
      • Enter more conditions to apply multiple color codes at one
      • Click the 'Save' button

      The condition applied is reflected in the grid view of the schedule. You can add new, edit or remove these color codes on your schedule any time. 

      Edit conditional colors

      • Navigate to the schedule interface of the project management console and ensure that you are in the grid view
      • Click to open the conditional coloring dialog box

      • Click inside the rows and edit the items
      • Click the color dot at the left in the row of the line item to change the color if required. Use the color picker or the color coordinates and change the color
      • Click the 'Save' to save the changes

      Remove conditional coloring

      • Navigate to the schedule interface of the project management console and ensure that you are in the grid view
      • Click to open the conditional coloring dialog box

      • Click to remove the conditional color applied to your schedule
      • Click the 'Save' to save the changes
