Add and Manage Watchers

Linarc's 'Watchers' pane lets you specify the people to notify them of the progress and details of the workflows of the project documents like RFIs, change orders, and Submittals in the construction project. 

A construction project involves multiple contractors and team members working on different aspects of a project. Add the members from your company as watchers and keep them informed on the issues, changes, and updates happening with various modules,

• RFI;
• Submittals; and
• Change orders.

Project managers of general contractors, subcontractors, and architects/engineers involved in the project can add their company employees as watchers when they create, review, or respond to  RFIs, Change orders, and Submittals. 

The 'Watchers' pane allows you to add any employee of your company as a watcher, irrespective of their role, and without any restrictions. This allows you to select any person to be notified of these items' updates based on your prudence. 

Add watchers

• Open the RFI, Change order, or the Submittal, and locate the watchers' pane on the right of its 'Details' screen

• Start typing the role, title, or name of the person in the text field and choose the person from the suggestions.
• Click 'Add'
• Repeat the process to add more watchers

The members receive notifications and updates and get information about the progress of the issue and any important developments related to it. See View notification for more details on notifications.

Remove watchers

The Watchers pane also allows you to remove the watchers anytime during the life cycle of the item. 

• Open the RFI, Change order, or the Submittal, and locate the watchers' pane on the right of its 'Details' screen.

• Locate the person to remove
• Click the  icon at the right of the name

The person is removed from the watchers' list, and they will no longer receive notifications on the updates of that item.
